Steps in Booking Your Session
Decide on a package
Review our various packages and select the one that best fits your photo needs. Any special requests can be communicated in the next step. Any current discounts available to you will have been announced via our social media pages (FB & IG) or as a pop-up that would have appeared when you first visited this site. We do not have any current discounts otherwise.
Fill out your booking form
Please fill out the related form for your session. There are fields for additional questions, budget solutions, special requests, etc. This helps streamline the inquiry process so we can get you booked faster!
Discuss your options and confirm choices
We will reach out to you as soon as can after receiving your information so we can discuss your preferences, answer questions, and set a date and time for your session. Your session is not booked until contracts are signed and the session is paid for in the next steps.
Sign your contract
We will email you a link to a contract for you to digitally sign. Your signature indicates you have read and agreed to all of the terms. We cannot proceed without a signed contract.
Pay to book your session
Go to our payment page and use the payment option of your choice to pay the "due immediately to book" dollar amount on your contract plus any payment fees (depending on the payment processor you picked). Your session will not be booked until we confirm receipt of your payment. We will text you to let you know if we received your payment. Reach out to us if you've sent payment, but haven't received our confirmation text.
Find childcare if needed
Children are allowed to attend sessions if they are the subjects of the session or if they are accompanied by another adult. Otherwise, please arrange childcare in advance as well as a backup option in case the original arrangement falls through. The session will need to be rescheduled if you cannot find childcare for unattended children. The session can be rescheduled once the $250 rescheduling fee is paid in full. This fee is to compensate my team for dedicating their time for your appointment and for the lost opportunity to book other clients.
Find a buddy to be your escort if desired
Escorts are always welcome in our studio! It is industry standard for models and clients to bring an escort along for their safety and comfort. We are an all-female team and are LGBTQ+ friendly, but I still recommend bringing an escort as they help boost confidence and make the session even more fun.
Think about the look and mood you want
There are many different themes, moods, looks, etc. that you can go for. Look up examples here on Artifex Imaging or elsewhere online. Save anything you like to your Pinterest, straight to your phone, etc. Be sure to forward the images or links to me so I can tailor your session for you.
Discuss your hair and makeup needs with my team
I will connect you with my team so that you can send images and discuss your overall look, specific requests, etc. if you booked a premium session.
Ask questions as they come up
Please ask questions as they think of them and I will answer as soon as I am able. No need to wait until business hours are open so you don't forget your question. This will help you be feel more comfortable and prepared for your session.
Try on different outfits at home and in stores
Be sure to try on outfits to make sure they fit the way you want and they suit the look you are going for. You do not have to send outfit photos, but you are welcome to if you'd like our opinions.
Pick out items that will lend a personal flair
There are many different items that represents parts of ourselves. Incorporating these items into your session will make the results more personal for you. Examples can be items from hobbies or activities that you and your loved ones enjoy or just adorable props that you'd love to use in your photos.
The Day Prior
Pack anything you think you might want.
The more options you have, the better! This includes clothes, items to use as props, anything you typically use to get ready to go out, etc. We will have table spaces for you to set your items out or a wagon for transporting items around at outdoor locations.
The Big Day
Sessions are typically 4 hours long with half of the time reserved for hair and makeup and the other have for shooting.
Arrive as scheduled
Please arrive as scheduled with us. Session time begins as scheduled or upon early arrival and will not be extended due to late arrivals. You will be allowed one reschedule after paying a $250 reschedule fee if you do not arrive or will forfeit your session without refund if you do not reschedule or appear for your reschedule. This is to compensate my team for dedicating their time for your appointment and for the lost opportunity to book other clients.
